Joanna Baker is an illustrator, pattern designer, and art educator based in Somerville, NJ. After graduating from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland with a degree in studio art, she moved to New York to attend Parsons School of Design and earn a degree in fashion design. After living in Manhattan for thirteen years, she recently moved to a house with more space an hour outside of the city. She now works out of her home studio overlooking her backyard garden. 

Joanna is a multi-disciplinary artist and creates her charming illustrations using brush markers, ink, colored pencil, watercolor, and acrylics on a variety of surfaces. She enjoys capturing life’s delightful, everyday details and transforming them into giftable paper & home goods. Her fashion design background and former life in New York City greatly influence her work. Her newest venture is a line of beautiful textiles and wallpapers.
